Event Details
The program includes a wide variety of American music including new pieces by Dan Forrest, Marianne Forman, Ryan Murphy, Luke Mayernik, and Stacey Gibbs! We will pay tribute to Beethoven with a setting of the Kyrie text accompanied by the haunting “Moonlight Sonata,” as well as Jake Runestad’s “A Silence Haunts Me,” a dramatic, emotional piece with text adapted from Beethoven’s own words about his impending hearing loss. We will also feature music from American cinema and the Broadway stage as well as music from Taiwan!
