SUMMARY:"Jubilate Deo" by Dan Forrest
DESCRIPTION:The annual Youth Honor Choir Festival features top local high school choirs in Dan Forrest’s Jubilate Deo. \nDan Forrest has been described as having “a gift for writing beautiful music that is truly magical…magnificent\, cleverly constructed sound sculpture…full of spine-tingling moments!” His Jubilate Deo brings to life the global aspect of the traditional Psalm 100 text\, “O be joyful in the Lord\, all ye lands\,” by setting it in seven different languages – Latin\, Hebrew\, Arabic\, Chinese\, Zulu\, Spanish\, and English – and drawing from a wide spectrum of musical influences and cultures. The closing movement combines several of these languages and the result is a stunning global celebration of joy\, as all the earth sings as one\, “omnis terra\, jubilate!” \nGuest Artists include Aura Nielsen\, Alyssa Liu\, Brennan Butikofer\, and Karin Wood with the SLCA Chamber Orchestra. \nDr. Brady R. Allred\, conductor \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\nBuy Tickets on Eventbrite\n\nBUY TICKETS
